Passing holiday thought
Dec. 1st, 2017 05:39 pmSpouse and I were out taking care of some stuff today. Banners promoting a "Santa's Village" display, complete with an opportunity to visit with the headliner this weekend, were out, as were the city workers doing the assembly in a downtown park. Spouse recalled that many places calling themselves "Santa's Village", that had once essentially been early-version theme parks, seemed to have succumbed, most likely to evolving tastes and increased choices, and gone out of business. My response was that I wasn't surprised because one clearly needs more than a village to run a global-scale toy manufacturing and distribution operation these days.
Certainly the case, even if you outsource much of the manufacturing to China.
You may throw things now. I won't mind.
